Question : Problem: Free data recovery tool?

Hi, I have a 2gb usb drive which i yanked from the pc without using the "safely remove option" first. Now when i connect it (happens, no matter what system it's connect to) it reads "The disk in drive e is not formatted. Do you want to format it now".
I need the data, I used a command line utility once to restore data under the same circumstances but can't remember the name of teh software. Does anyone know of any free download that I could use to get teh data off the disk?
Thanks for reading

Keep in mind, you get what you pay for in Data Recovery. If the files are important enough, and the free apps arent cutting it, then you can use the Paid Versions of these to at least scan and see if it is worth buying a license.....

And accessing the recovered files, you might need to take ownership of the files to gain access....
