Question : Problem: Precision 650 memory problem

I have a Dell Precision 650 which I am putting together with parts. I have installed 2 GB of memory (2 -1 GB sticks of PC2100 rdram ECC) into slots 1 and 2. When I turn on the computer, I get 1 beep, 3 beeps, and then 2 beeps. The 4 diagnostic lights are green yellow green yellow. I do not know what bios this board contains. How do I go about fixing this?

Answer : Problem: Precision 650 memory problem

According to the dell documentation found here http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ws650/en/ug/advanced.htm#1170800
Both of these error codes are in respect to memory.
diagnostic lights-->Memory modules are detected, but a memory configuration or compatibility error exists.
Beep code-->DIMMs not being properly identified or used
This workstation requires identical ram modules in slot 1 &2, are these modules you are using identical.
Are you sure you have them in slot 1 & 2, as these need to be the first slots populated.
