Question : Problem: Memory Comparison

I wanted to ask what is the performance difference between normal Corsair DDR - II (800 Mhz) RAM &
Corsair XMS2 DHX TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX/800 BUS RAM............. is the performance worth the extra cash...........?

Will the XMS2 RAM effect gaming performance and other windows softwares?? And what is the added advantage of having heat-sinks on the RAM?
