Question : Problem: Screen problems

I have an IBM Thinkpad R60. There are occasions when the screen goes completely blank. I then have to reboot to get the screen back. Any ideas? Thanks. I run XP & Vista through the HyperOs system software.

Answer : Problem: Screen problems

The blank screen could be a software or a hardware issue.
Hardware that you need to check is the battery, RAM, fan and HD.
Check the  cooling fan does it come in when you use the laptop for a while.

Download http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ and test disk to make sure there is no
issue.

You could carry out  tests to see if its a hardware or a software issue.

You could also  run knoppix from the CD ROM and see if problem persists.

With some confirmed facts you could than decide whether its the software
or the hardware which is causing the problem.
