Question : Problem: Phone Dialer Error - Bluetooth Modem

Hi,
Phone dialer doesn't work. I get an error message: "Failed trying to connect the call. Does the device have power and dialtone if necessary?"
and I can't make outside calls with it.
My modem works with hyperterminal, I can make a call.
I am using Bluetooth DUN modem of Nokia 3110c. Is it possible to connect with bluetooth DUN modem?
Any help?
Platform: Windows XP service Pack2

Answer : Problem: Phone Dialer Error - Bluetooth Modem

Hi,

If you have used hyperterminal to communicate with the mobile phone it seems that you have connected to the phone using the Serial Port Profile, SPP. AT commands over SPP is not part of the Bluetooth standard but may be supported by some phones as a vendor specific extension.

I would not recomment doing it like that since i think the easiest/fastest way to setup a working Bluetooth modem connection would be to use the standard way through Dial Up Networking profile. How to to that is described in the link i sent before.
