Question : Problem: default printer not being retained

I have a problem with setting the default printer.

The users all have thier default printer set as HP 2550 (or something like that) but if they change the default prniter to a newly installed HP 3700 PCL 6 and it doesnt retain this after a restart.

Basically if any of them change the default prniter to the new prniter and the restart thier PC, it will ahve reverted back to the old default printer ... it just wont keep the settings.

Could this be an AD policy? Any suggesstions?

yes it is possible that there is a printer logon script that is setting that printer as the default.  check group policy for logon scripts
