Question : Problem: Dell Inspiron Power

My Dell Inspiron 3000 will not charge the battery. I have recently bought a new ac adaptor and tried using the BATRCAL program from Dell. The system starts to recalibrate but then after a period of time (overnight) nothing has happened. Should I be looking at a new battery or is there something more sinister happening?

Your battery is dead and will not take or hold a charge, I would replace the battery and this should solve your problem.
