Question : Problem: PC to LCD TV

Intersted in hooking up my PC to my new HDTV. What are my best options and what cables do I need? I also have a lap top would that be easier?

For best resolts I would use a DVI cable ,as dvi and HD are bolth digital ware as vga is analog. What is the tvs native resolution? And is there a dvi port on the tv set.
