Question : Problem: Sound Output to Different Devices by Application

Good day! Is it possible to split the sound output to different devices depending on the application? For example I have USB speakers and headphones [3.5mm jacks]. Is it possible to output Skype to the headphones, while at the same time, the output of a movie or a game goes to the USB speakers? (I'm using Windows Vista.)

It depends on the application. Usually you have an options/settings menu in the application, and if your application can use another device you'll be able to set it somewhere there. If there are no such settings possible, then your application can't be set to select a default device.
