Question : Problem: Monitor Sleeps
I have an HP7100Y, Media Center computer. My graphics card went bad, so I replaced it with a Radeon HD 2400PRO, 258MB, PCIe. It worked fine until I installed the latest ATI Catalyst software update. The problem Im having is after the XP logo appears during boot, the monitor goes to sleep and the only way to do anything is to hold the power switch in and reboot. I then have to boot it in safe mode, remove the software and reboot. Im assuming VGA kicks in, allowing boot completion after removal. The system detects the card, but I cancel the operation. What can I do to correct this?
