Question : Problem: Users not Getting Ip adress From DHCP server on Dell Laptops
Presently I have 3 wireless access points (HP Procurve 4200 & 2 Apple air port extremes) that when users on Dell D620 Laptop's connect to they do not get an IP address from the DHCP server (Windows Server 2003). The lap tops will get an IP from other access points with built in DHCP or wireless points that use other DHCP server. They are able to communicate with the access point once a hard coded IP is entered but this is an issues as they are very mobile users. The DHCP server will server IP's to IBM laptops on the wireless and to hard wired PC's with room to deal out a few hundred more IP's.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about this, something to do with the Procurve and the Dells or the DHCP server. Just any help would be much appreciated.
