Question : Problem: How to diagnose all white laptop screen?
Hi. I have a Dell 700M laptop that has a all white screen. I have switched out the inverter, and also put in a used video cable, but the problem still persists. I have plugged it into a external monitor and I get crystal clear signals and everything is working great, but when I try to view the laptop screen I just see a pure white screen. Now that typically is a video cable or invertor. I have changed both. I bought the cable off of Ebay, so I don't know how credible it is, but I've emailed the seller for another. However, I wanted to see if there was any other things I'm missing?? Any ideas?

It could also be the LCD controller, which would be separate from the inverter and video card chip. However, it would be very difficult to fix:
