Question : Problem: Restoring Exchange 2003 single mailbox with veritas

Dear All,

I was havinng a single exchange 2003 server with Veritas 10 installed as a backup server to backup information exchange store and exchange mailbox's. I have installed another exchange 2003 and configured my first exchange ( Veritas server) as a Front end and the new one as a back end, now I want to restore a mailbox that was in my first exchange ( now front end), when I go to restore and select the exchange server mailbox, in the right side i see a message ( No Selection exist for this resource ) and unable to see the list of the mailbox's to restore. I need to know how do I restore the mailbox to the new server (Back End) I remember that was  a solution from veritas but can not find it, please help.

Thanks

With Veritas 10 you mean Backup Exec 10 ? Are your catalogs up to date ? If not try to recatalog them trhough the software. If that doesn't work catalog them the hard way:

1. Stop all Backup Exec services.
2. Rename the catalogs folder (C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Catalogs). - Save a copy !
3. Restart all Backup Exec services.
4. The Catalogs folder should be automatically recreated.
5. Recatalog all related media (takes a while).
