Question : Problem: XenApp 4.0 to 4.5 Upgrade

Dear Experts,

I am in the process of upgrading a large from from XenApp 4.0 to 4.5.

After some review, I have decided to do an in place upgrade.

Steps:

1. Upgrade License server to 11.5
2. Upgrade Web Interface server to 4.6
3. Upgrade Farm Metric Server to XenApp 4.5
4. Upgrade Backup Farm Metric Server to XenApp 4.5
5. Upgrade ZDC and backup ZDC to XenApp 4.5
6. Upgrade the remainder of the servers to XenApp 4.5

Two Questions:

1. Am I missing something?  I am aware of all the pre-reqs to each of these components.

2. What kind of backout plan is available for this?

I was thinking about:

Make a copy of the SQL server IM database.
Change farm each server to use the new IM database

If something bad happens, rebuild each server, and point the server to the old database.

WI 4.6 works with PS4.0.  Is that what you are asking?

4.0 + 4.5 in mixed mode is fine for a migration just now for long-term operations.
