Question : Problem: iPhone Exchange 2007 mail sync Freezes
Hi Guys,
I've been working on this for quite a while already and thought that some of you might have some insight. We have a user who is connecting to their Exchange account using an iPhone, ver. 2.2. We are running Exchange 2007 with SP1, UR5. This has been tested with 2 different iPhones on different networks. The issue is as follows:
Setting up ActiveSync on the phone works fine. If we restart the phone and try to access "mail", the phone will freeze and show a blank screen. Even after restarting the phone again, the mail is not accessible. The only time we can see it is in the creation of the ActiveSync account.
If I manage to get to the settings menu and turn off mail sync, everything goes back to normal. Leaving mail sync but turning off Calendar or Contacts does nothing.
I even tried backing up the mailbox and recreating it. Before importing the data back into the mailbox, the sync goes fine and even after a restart there is no issue. After the mail is imported, same issue again.
Lastly, I tried syncing only the last 1 day and I still have the problem. The user reported the issue last week so I doubt it would be a corrupt email.
Any ideas?!
Thanks!
