Question : Problem: Two sound cards in one computer, each to different output

Hello.

I have one integrated onboard sound card and another PCI sound card. Can I somehow use them to output sounds from different sound sources to separate sound outputs?

For example, can I plug in my headphones to one soundcard and play a game on my computer and at the same time plug my TV to another sound card and use dualview to watch movie through the tv-out with movie sound separated from game sound? (Watching movie from computer and playing game at the same time, with separate sounds, 1 into headphones, other into TV).

If yes, how can this be done, what do I need to set up?

Answer : Problem: Two sound cards in one computer, each to different output

Open Winamp Preferences. Go down to Plug-ins > Output. You can click configure and select what device to use.

I don't know of any other applications that will let you select what device out output audio to. I am sure there are plenty, but there are plenty more that just use the primary audio card.

Good luck.
