Question : Problem: LCD size vs font size
|
|
I am in the market to purchase an LCD screen but would like to know my best options for font size / resolution.
I find it frustrating that the larger the screen you purchase the higher the recommended resolution is so that all the fonts are teeny tiny. I don't want to be one of those geezers that change the resolution so that the fonts are bigger but then everything else looks like crap. I also find that when you play to much with system font size you will run into problems where stuff gets smushed together in some applications like internet explorer.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should be looking at getting?

That's all subjective, I would recommend you go to a store and see them side by side. They do tend to cram higher resolutions onto smaller lcds in laptops. Like my 12in lcd is 1280x800 so are lots of 15.4in lcds. The words on the 15.4 look much bigger than on my 12in.
