Question : Problem: Backup Recommendation

Hello All,

I am looking for some advice.  I have just rebuilt a server (Win 2K Server OS) and have two hard drives and I would like to get some advice on how to properly back it up.  I do not need anything fancy or expensive but rather something that is really good and efficient.  I am open to buying software and additional hardware (i.e external drive) if necessary.

Any recommendations??

What is the amount of data you have to backup?

Normally a tape backup is the best solution, something like DLT is pretty good if the amount of data isn't too big. For backup software I suggest you to take a look at Veritas Backup Exec => http://www.veritas.com or Arcserve => http://www3.ca.com/Solutions/ProductFamily.asp?ID=115 to be able to schedule the backups you want. NTbackup isn't that reliable as it's just a stripped down version of Veritas backup.
