Question : Problem: Cannot find a suitable Conexant High-Definition Audio driver for XP running on AMD CPU

I downgraded from Vista Home  to XP Pro SP2, and I've tried numerous Conexant drivers from HP, including different versions of MS UAA. The only driver not working is sound, even the Conexant Modem Driver works. My laptop runs on an AMD CPU

Answer : Problem: Cannot find a suitable Conexant High-Definition Audio driver for XP running on AMD CPU

That wasn't it, but having tried just about every hp Conexant driver (  http://search.hp.com/query.html?lang=en&submit.x=5&submit.y=6&qt=conexant+high+definition+audio&la=en&cc=us ) , I noticed 2 of them referenced AMD cpu, which I have, they are SP34386.exe and SP33310.exe. Although I previously tried both of these, I tried SP33310 again, but did the driver installation completely manually, and ignored the version warning. I also reinstalled UAA again, SP31994.exe.

My sound is now working, hooray! Thanks everyone
