Question : Problem: Sound is very low on ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667  motherboard

Hi there,

I bought a new PC from a store where they assemble and sell computers.  The sound from the speakers are really low.  I can hardly hear anything.  Also, If I remove the speakers I cannot hear anything from the onboard speakers.  How can I correct it.  I have the audio driver installed.

Answer : Problem: Sound is very low on ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667  motherboard

The HD speakers use automatic detection on the outputs to set them for various options.   Since you just changed the audio output to desktop speakers; shut the system down (not just a restart); and then turn it back on -- this will force a redetection of the devices plugged into the various audio plugs.

IF the speakers are plugged into the correct plug, that should resolve the sound issue.
