Question : Problem: Ethernet Signal Level
Have 300 feet of new Cat5 with computers on either end. Unfortunately the 300 feet is made up of 6 pieces ranging in length from 30 to 100 feet each daisey chained together with RJ45 connectors. A NetGear DS104 hub will work over 3 of these splices only. Tried to daisey chain another hub to boost the signal level but no luck. Is there such a thing as a signal level buffer? Will a switch work better than a hub?

Sorry about the USB repeater.I was thinking on those lines.
I would suggest you go for wireless and get wireless booster or get an external antenna for your wireless card
