Question : Problem: Which Wireless router should I buy?
|
|
Hi!...
right,,,,which wireless router I should buy. I dont want anything pricey.(less than 100 british pounds).it should be something that I can use in a small professional mini network. I dont like routers with simple interface..that simply have a button "install:start:stop", I want something with lots of configuration when you need it and less when you dont...simply semi-professional-nonexpensive-nice-router :)
I have seen this ...when searching on google..Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G..(and I have a linksys router with wire connection at the moment)....however I want some suggestions and help on this matter
And by the way ..anyone knows which Wireless router is the best according to reviews and stuff?(for home usage)
Cheers!

I have an older Linksys Wireless B router at home - and it works great! I highly recommend them. As far as which is best, yada yada yada - they're all about the same. I don't know about European makes and models - but in the US DLink, SMC, Linksys, Netgear - they're all about the same - the only real difference is price.
If you want to step up - the WRV54G will give you more firewall capabilities with stateful packet inspection. It will also do some URL filtering as well as basic firewall rules - allowing you to cut off kids access at 8:00 PM for instance.
