Question : Problem: Can't see my USB/Firewire external drives on my HP xw8200 w/SCSI as my C drive.

I have an HP XW Workstation 8200, which has a SCSI drive as its' C drive. I am trying to access some external drives--most have either USB or Firewire. The computer recognizes them when they are plugged in, they  are seen in the Hardware section by the control panel, but they do not appear in 'My Computer' and I cannot access them. I can however, eject them by 'safely removing hardware'. What do I have to do to see these drives and to access their files?

If there's any important data you want to save from the external hard drive(s) back them up just to be safe. After you have backed them up try allocating in Windows. After Windows allocates your drive, then try using it in both Mac G5 and in Windows.
