Question : Problem: Dell DImension 8200  motherboard replacement

I am having problems finding the right motherboard to replace in a Dell Dimension 8200. I have looked around and found different types but there is nothing on my old motherboard to tell me which one it takes. Here is the one the matches the best is appearance I have found on ebay. But before I purchase one I need to make sure.

According to Dell this motherboard has the Intel 850- 850E chipset. This supports RDRAM which makes this motherboard very different from todays DDR ram motherboards.

notice the dell part numbers it is compatible with. Did you try putting the service tag number into the Dell support site to see if you could determine the exact model.
