Question : Problem: Wireless monitor or running wire through wall?

I've been doing research on wireless monitors and can't find anything too clear. Basically what I'm wanting to do is mount a monitor on a wall without having any wires show. Is my best bet going to be running the wires through the wall, or is there a wireless monitor option somewhere out there? I see this done in stores all the time, but am not sure how it's done.

JerryStinchfield,

Well, you have to have a power cable, still, right? So you aren't going to get to "no cables" whatever you do. Wireless monitor technology is in it's infancy. The only product that's fully operational that I am aware of is Teq Gear's WID101, which uses 802.11 g/a/b and compression to transmit the video data, and costs $800-1000.

Other options including running a cable through the walls (and they do make thinner cables, take a look at L-Com's thin cables with disconnects (http://www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=5797 for one), or using a projector instead of a monitor.

Cheers,
