Question : Problem: iPhone sync tasks/cal (2pc's)

I'm disgusted with Vista/ Windows Mobile Device Center and want to throw my current phone/pda out the Window.

I'm entertaining an iPhone 3G but am concerned about syncing my Outlook 2007 tasks / contacts / calendar items between my work pc & home pc (both running vista).

I'd like to avoid a subscription syncing service.

Any ideas?

I feel stuck with vista/ wmdc.  I give up, Microsoft wins.

I did checkout pocket informant for the iphone, which looks like it will be nice, but interestingly, it appears that syncs to one of their servers over the air.

What's the proper procedure here: should this call be deleted?  Should I award points? (I don't mind doing either)
