Question : Problem: HP Laserjet 2300 - does not print from tray 3

Hello, I have one HP Laserjet 2300 - which does not print from tray 3. This tray is installed one yer after we got the printer. I tried from different machines, but it still prints from the other trays even I point the print job to the 3rd tray. I tried different drivers but nothing works.


P.S. Today it started to print 6 copies of one document %)

Any ideas before to sent it to the trash ?

Answer : Problem: HP Laserjet 2300 - does not print from tray 3

print a config page, on there you can see if the 2300 did detect the tray correctly in the tray list. If it's not there, the printer did not detect it and it might be the wrong part number/wrong tray? I can't remember correctly but it might be a tray from a 2200 which looks the same, but is not upward compatible.
