Question : Problem: My SCSI Hard Drive - Has it broke?
|
|
Ok, I have a server which i built. It has 1 SCSI hard drive in it and a further 2 IDE drives.
The SCSI drive held the OS and system files and that was it.
Now i went on holiday and turned this off. Came to turn it back on again after my holiday and i get a message coming up saying "SCSI Bios not found"
the SCSI drive was generally quite loud when active but doesnt make the usual clicking sound when i switch it on. I dont have a spare to test with.
theres a 6mb databse which i need to retrieve from this drive, does anyone have an idea of how i can do it? Its only a personal server so its not something that a business uses.
Any ideas?

May be mixed up ESCD data in BIOS. If there is a 'Reset Configuration Data' option in your computer's BIOS, set it to Enabled, and possibly if PnP OS setting is Yes, switch it to No
