Question : Problem: Pocket Inbox.com - what is it and how do I configure it?

Hi there,

I really need some help with an installation I have inherited from someone else. They are running Windows Server 2000 with Small Business Server (I think it would be version 2000 or equivalent).

I have been trying to analyse the configuration to work out how everything has been setup. It would appear they use exchange server to send and receive email through SMTP.

They have had a problem with their phone provider and have had to set their blackberry devices up again this is the bit thats really stumped me. When looking through users in the active directory, the two people who have blackberries both have a contact with the email address as [email protected]. Also under queues under the default SMTP server there is a pocketinbox.com SMTP connector (see screenshot).

What is this pocketinbox? I am assuming this is a facility similar in function to blackberry enterprise server but have no idea how to configure it or even if this theory is correct. Can anyone assist I need to configure the new blackberries and dont know how to proceed.

Many thanks in advance.

The domain name belongs to this company: http://www.3gcomms.co.uk/
Is that the supplier of the Blackberry devices? It is probably some kind of service to get email on to the devices without using a BES. Most phone providers have one, and there is BIS.

Normally I would suggest a BES or the Professional edition, but I don't think there is an edition that supports Exchange 2000.
