Question : Problem: Acer Aspire Laptop 3000 Series BIOS Password

Recently upgraded friends laptop with 256 mb stick bringing the total to 512 after i put the cover back on for the memory went to boot up to make sure it recognized the memory and instead it asks for a password before it even boots and the freind said he never remembers setting a password for boot up
i feel so bad for this guy cause now he has no laptop to use until we fix this please help.

Unplug it and remove the battery pack.
