Question : Problem: Will this SCSI work with my computer?

I am interested in purchasing this harddrive for my Dell Precision desktop, will it be compatible? (I've already purchased one high speed SCSI drive that didn't work because it is an 80 pin drive.)

I was told I need a SCSI drive with a SAS interface.

As long as the SATA Controller you have on the workstation is SATA II then I don't think you would need to get another controller. With SATA II being at 3Gb and the fact that you will never even reach that I see no need to throw away any more money unless you were looking to implement RAID. Just my opinion...
