Question : Problem: Back up of contacts different than restore of contacts on blacberry 8830
While backing up and restoring contacts on a clients verizon blackberry 8830 world phone I ran into some issues. I backed up the contacts on the phone using blackberrys backup feature included on the desktop software. All contacts were backed up to a PST file. I opened the contacts list in outlook to show my client, the client claims that there were MANY more contact and outdated information in the backup.
How can this be?

The backup would be an exact copy of what was on the device. At times a restore can remove corrupt items from the restore data but never add extra items. If you did a sync of the device and they had all the SIM contacts moved to the device address book it may appear to the user that there are many extra contacts.
