I need recomendations on a good general USB barcode scanner that will recognize all the popular barcode formats. It just needs to read the code and place it in the text field currently in focus. Some event handling would be nice to automate pushing the "Go!" button.
For reasons too numerous to mention, I will not be able to use a manufacturer SDK. I can however, use the .NET serialport class to capture data if needed.
