Question : Problem: Test RAID

Does anyone know the best way to test RAID on an IBM x3400 with a ServeRAID-8k SAS Controller?

I assume you mean test the speed rather than to see if it works (pull out a drive and see if raid5 keeps going!)

I would try something like Bonnie++

If you dont have linux installed you can try to boot from a livecd (such as knoppix.org) then run the program.
