Question : Problem: Connect Veritas to external USB drive

I have a client using Veritas 8.6 with an external USB driver backup solution. When the server is rebooted, Veritas will not connect to the external drive and therefore the backup will not start. When looking at Veritas after a reboot, the drive is paused. But once I unpause the drive the backup works.

How can I configure Veritas to connect to the drive after a reboot?

I am not sure you can with that version.

I really think that an upgrade is needed.

8.6 was out when USB was just barely started.
