Question : Problem: HP Proliant ML310 SCSI/Boot problems

Dear experts,

I have a problem with a HP Proliant ML310 server. There was a power failure in the office. When power was restored, the server is failing to boot.

An error message "SCSI BIOS not loaded" is displayed just before the machine attempts to boot from any media. If I boot from the Windows 2000 CD, setup says it can't find any available HDDs. How do I fix this problem?

I can't use floppy diskettes on the machine as well. Looks like the floppy controller has a problem. It reports an "I/O error" message.

Sounds like you lost the System BIOS settings during the power failure. Reboot to the System BIOS and restore the settings/save and attempt to Boot to Windows. Hopefully, you haven't lost SCSI controller BIOS settings, just deactivated the controller with the loss of System BIOS settings. Should also restore floppy controller.Review the BIOS settings. Get an inexpensive UPS with AVR.
