Question : Problem: Microphone stoped working - somethng simple surely? Is there a mute?

HI,
I have a client who from today is unable to record sound (and therefore use Skype) on the laptop but it was fine yesterday. The Laptop is a Samsung X60 (UK model)

I've logged in remotely and all seems fine and the various volumes tured up and device manage is not reporting any problems?

So what else can I check? Is there a button  or FN key combination that mutes the microphone. I asked them to check but they cannot see one?

it might have the FN keys listed
