Question : Problem: Backup Exec 10d "access denied" errors

I have installed a new NAS on our network for our backups. I have used veritas backup exec 10d forever, and never had a problem writing to our older snap server. I created all the daily and weekly folders, set the schedule, set the permission levels and user account (mine, I'm a system admin with full priveledges), and ran the backup manually. It worked fine. However that night when following the schedule, it crashed with:
"Storage device "Friday Backups" reported an error on a request to write data to media.
Error reported:
Access is denied.
V-79-57344-34036 - An unknown error has occurred."

It will not run any day following the schedule, but if I go in and do a run it now command, it runs fine. I have re-arranged the schedule, changed the user to another admin, with no results. It will only run when I do it manually. Any ideas?

Answer : Problem: Backup Exec 10d "access denied" errors

Well, the only way I could get it working was to set up the scheduel, then have Backup Exec Create its own folders. Its working now.
