Question : Problem: 1.5 GIG at 2100 or 1 GIG at 2700?

I had 512 2100 DIMM.  Today I added 1 Gig of 3200 DIMM.  My 1.5 Gig of memory is running at 2100.  Should I remove the 512 of 2100 DIMM so remaining Gig will run at 2700 (max of MB)?  Will I notice a speed improvement?  Or is benefit so small, that I'm better off luxeriating in 1.5 Gig of RAM, and leaving everything open, but working as if only one sw running.

Answer : Problem: 1.5 GIG at 2100 or 1 GIG at 2700?

raymm,

Did we answer your question -- or do you have any follow-ups?   As I noted much earlier (before all the digressions), you'll be much better off with 1GB of PC2700 memory than with 1.5GB of PC2100 memory.
