Question : Problem: SBS 2003 server restarts when you start to backup

Hi there, I  have an ML series windows SBS 2003 machine that restarts when the backup starts whilst using veritas 11d and a brand new HP Ultrium drive.  I have read all the posts on this subject on the exchange and tried all of the things below.

I have uninstalled symantec,
Updated the machine,
Tried the hotfix for memory leakage,
Updated the symevent files,
The drive is on a separate  SCSI controller,

There are no messages in the event logs, there is no blue screen as the server restarts, it just goes black and restarts. Auto restart is turned off. It is ok as it carries out the pre-backup tasks, but as soons as the backup starts it restarts.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Jolian

Answer : Problem: SBS 2003 server restarts when you start to backup

Does the server restart on a manual backup, scheduled backup or both?
Are you backing up to single tape, tape library, hard drive?
Are you using Exchange, SQL, Advanced or any other add on to Backup Exec?
