Question : Problem: HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 All-in-One not networking
I have an HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 All-In-One printer which offers USB and network connectivity options. My problem is pretty simple: it won't get an IP address from the router, and that is probably because when physically connected to the Linskys WRT54G router, the light on the router for that port doesn't even light up (no matter which port I plug it into). Further, I've tried two different cables and nothing will make that printer light up! I've tried resetting it back to factory defaults, shutting it on and off... no go. It won't even let me manually specify an address on the control panel of the printer since it says there's no link.

I would try a different port in the switch that you know is working. If you get the same result then you most likely have a bad network card in the printer. If it is under warranty then call the manufacturer and get a new one, if not, hook it up to the computer through USB and print through the computer or buy a USB print server.
