Question : Problem: Need Netbackup 6.5.2a to Backup Client without Client Software installed

Right now I'm running Netbackup 6.5.2a on a Windows 2003 Ent. platform. I need to backup a server that is not a member of my AD domain. I cannot install the Netbackup client software on this server becuase this issue host a special application which does not play well with other application. Using netbackup 6.5.2a is it possible for me to backup this server that is not on my network, that does not have the client software install and uses different login credentials?

Since you cannot install the Netbackup client on the server you have two options. First you can make a network share on the domain and use ntbackup to backup to that folder. The other options (not as good as the first) would be to grant permission and backup through the administration network shares (c$, d$, etc).
