Question : Problem: Can I Replace Motherboard with Same Motherboard Without Reinstalling Windows 2003 OS?
I have a motherboard that is acting up on me and have the same model motherboard as a replacement. I would like to replace the motherboard with the same motherboard that I believe is better. I would like to avoid reinstalling the Windows 2003 server operating system? What are my chances of this working well, and is there anything I should keep in mind? What has been everyone's experience with this?
Answer : Problem: Can I Replace Motherboard with Same Motherboard Without Reinstalling Windows 2003 OS?
yes, you can do this. if it is the exact same model you won't have any issues at all.
if it is a slightly different model you might have to do some reinstalling of drivers, and it might ask you to re-register windows.
