Question : Problem: Windows XP resets screen resolution on reboot

Hi I am hoping someone can help. I have an Asus Eee PC that belongs to my son, recently I have had to replace the LCD display as the old one was cracked it was a like for like swap. Since then I can set the resolution to 1024x600 and it stays fine until the computer is rebooted at which point it loads to windows XP then resets to 1024x784 meaning I have to scroll up and down to view the enitre desktop.

I have tried updating drivers but still no joy. I am running a user account with admin rights.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer : Problem: Windows XP resets screen resolution on reboot

Hi I managed to sort the problem I right clicked on the desktop> went to settings> Went to Advanced> Then clicked on the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". Clicked ok back to settings and selected the  same Screen Resolution that I was trying to select before, Clicked ok and rebooted all fine and sorted. Thanks for  assistance
