Question : Problem: Desktop Computer Fuses Keeps Blowing

I have a client with a computer where the fuse keeps blowing.

It appears not to do this while the computer is in use, however it does seem to not switch on and when it does not switch on it appears to be due to the fuse and this requires replacing for the computer to work again. The fuse used is a 5AMP fuse which I believe it recommended by the manufacturer of the computer.

It has happened about 7-8 times in the past 12 months.

Has anyone come across this before or would know what the likely cause could be.

The cable has been replaced, however I believe that the problem still persists.

Thanks

Answer : Problem: Desktop Computer Fuses Keeps Blowing

Either get a slow blow fuse for more Amps. or use a plug that doesn't need a fuse. The fuses of your building should protect the circuitry of your house enough, and the fuse within the power supply itself should protect the PC. An extra fuse shouldn't be required.
