Question : Problem: Outlook Mobile Access: view other calendars

An executive in the company has just gotten a brand new Treo and he's using Outlook Mobile Access to connect directly to an Exchange 2007 server.  He has been granted permission to view some other users' calendars.  This works fine for him in the full version of Outlook on his PC.  Is there a way for him to view other users' calendars on the Treo?

Ideally I'd like a link to some user-friendly instructions on how to set this up.  If it's not possible it would be helpful to be able to give him some Microsoft docs stating the limitation.  I haven't found any so far.

Answer : Problem: Outlook Mobile Access: view other calendars

Rare to find documentation from Microsoft that says you cannot do x - it just isn't possible.

Presuming that you mean OMA - as in the web browser based view, then it is possible to view another person's calendar, but you have to manipulate the URL.

If you mean Exchange ActiveSync, then it is not possible to view another calendar without the use of third party software. Even then, the view will be cached, not live, so any changes will not be seen on the device until it is cradled.

The functionality of mobile devices is limited at best - you will never get all functionality like you have on the full version of Outlook - even OWA isn't there yet.
