Question : Problem: Dell latitude C640 Battery Problems

My laptop is killing batteries, lost 2 good batteries in as many days, power management says that the battery is charging but is at critical. the batterys are showing nothing at all on their in built status indicators now even though they were showing 5 greens before. These batteries will not charge on another C640 that I have and the laptop psu's are ok. I cannot keep running about looking for a power point every time I need to use this laptop and need urgent assistance to solve the problem

Agree with the above, just thought I'd verify that you did try more than one power adapter? If just one has been involved, it can be faulty and not capable of charging the battery with the unit running. Have you tried charging overnight with unit "off"?
