Question : Problem: Wireless WPA and Tkip

I would like to know when configuring wireless encryption using WPA, do I need to add TKIP to it or it's already included?
I am not sure if TKIP will add more security to WPA or it's a different animal.
I also don t know if WPA is called a preshared key
thanks

Answer : Problem: Wireless WPA and Tkip

Most certainly TKIP is implemented. Temporal Key Integrity Protocol is part of Wi-Fi Protected Access.

If it is WEP that You are talking about then You should see when the Access Point was made  - if its before 2003, most likely there won't be TKIP included, if its made after that year, most likely either TKPIP will be implemented into WEP or You shall be able to upgrade Your Access Point so that TKPIP would be included.
