Question : Problem: Turn Webcam Indicator Light Off

I wish to use my webcam to check in on the babysitter and for that purpose it works great, but the camera insists on leaving the light on defeating the purpose. Can anyone help me with this?? Thank You

Answer : Problem: Turn Webcam Indicator Light Off

There is no way to do it via software.  If the camera is on, so is the light.  It's just wired that way.  The only suggestion I could offer is maybe a piece of black electrical tape?  If you're handy to crack the thing open, you could break the LED off the board and put it back together.
