Question : Problem: Copy Commander dup problems

Using "Copy Commander", I copied an XP OS harddrive (17g) to a 120g harddrive. The old drive will not boot up unless the new drive is also in the system, and the new drive will not boot up period. When I do boot up (with the old and the new drive together), all the data is there and accessable (on both drives), and all apps work just fine.

I've had similar problems before and Copy Commander offers poor support. The last time I had problems I chose not to change the SID, while this time I did choose to change it.

Does anyone know what the heck is going on and what to do about? I'll even consider going with different S/W if I don't have to spend hour upon hour just trying to do a simple dup of a drive!

Thanks in advance!

Answer : Problem: Copy Commander dup problems

It is a weird registry thing I beleive dealing with the HD ID.

Anyway give this a go and unplug the old drive when you do it.
